If you don't speak HTML and you want the quick, direct approach to a WWW home, rejoice! Now all three major services offer personal Web space online to their subscribers at no extra cost.
America Online offers do-it-yourself service and professional Web-site publishing. Start out at the Web Page Toolkit in the Internet Connection or at Keyword: HTML for pointers to AOL's Web services.
AOL offers easy-to-use tools for creating pages via a preformed template file (Keyword: Personal Publishing), allotting 2MB per screen name, for a total of 10MB per paid account.
CompuServe members can download Home Page Wizard (GO: HPWIZ), the authoring tool used for CIS's Personal Home Page Service. It offers drag-and-drop editing, templates, tips, context-sensitive help and a test display button. CompuServe provides 1MB of storage space per member.
Prodigy's Personal Web Pages service also offers simple Web-page creation. Most of the work is done directly on the Web through Prodigy's HTML Scratchpad. You can get there in Prodigy's Web browser at http: // pages.prodigy.com.
All three services allow experienced authors to import HTML documents. Each provides image libraries and allows you to upload your own. And it's all free.
